Shadow Mountain Family Evaluation

The Shadow Mountain program is designed to help a young man and his family AFTER the initial primary treatment experience. Not every family has undergone this first step in the journey and often times, many families know that help is needed yet they do not know how to go about accessing the appropriate help not only for their loved one, but for the entire family. For families that find themselves in this situation, we offer a two day Family Evaluation with our clinical director. Why the family and not just the loved one dealing with chemical dependency you ask? The disease of addiction is crippling to the one suffering from it AND it can have intensely destructive ripple effects on all family members and even friends involved. No matter how close your family may be, you still operate as a unit whether functional or dysfunctional. Research and experience have shown that a person willing to tackle the long road of recovery has better outcomes when their family system is able to support them in the process of this journey.

The goal of the Family Evaluation is to assess all aspects of the way your family functions in order to ascertain the ways that your family has been affected by the disease of addiction. The workshop includes an introduction to addiction education and awareness
